Missing Awards

The Cross for the Invasion Norteamericana, featuring the bust of General Pedro Ampudia encircled by a band inscribed, COMBATIO POR LA INTEGRA DAD DEL TERRITORIO NACIONAL, was awarded for the defense of Monterey (September 24, 1846). A variant is inscribed, VALOR DISTINGUIDO.

The Medal for Vera Cruz 1847 was awarded to troops defending the besieged city between March 7 to March 29, 1847. The bronze 27mm medal displays military trophies on the obverse an is inscribed, AL PATRIOTISMO Y VALOR ACREDITADOS EN DEFENSA DE LA H. VERACRUZ 1847. The "H" stands for HISTORICA. A 30mm variant is inscribed, EL ANO DE 1847 surrounded by the legend above.

The Cross of Honor is a double-pointed, ball tipped red enamel cross with rays in the angles. The obverse features the national eagle encircled by a white enamel band inscribed, 8, 12 Y 13 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 1847. The reverse is inscribed, LA PATRIA AL MERITO EN 1847.
