The obverse features the Mexican eagle and is inscribed, SOCIEDAD DEFENSORES DE LA REPUBLICA MEXICAN. The reverse is inscribed, COMBATIERON POR LA INTEGRIDAD DEL TERRITORIO NACIONAL DESDE 1836 A 1848.
