Bronze Medal of the French Municipal Commission, & Bronze Medal of the French Concession, Shanghai SERVIR (1937)
There are apparently two versions of the Medal of the French Concession,
Shanghai SERVIR (1937) with the sword on the obverse being of different
thickness.
The bar on the SERVIR medals shown above (right) reads on three lines:
"MEDAILLE COMMEMORATIVE-CHANGHAI 193-/POLICE FRANCAISE"
An additional bar for the SERVIR medal reads on three lines:
POLICE SPECIALE-VOLONTAIRE AOUT-NOV-1937- MEDAILLE COMMEMORATIVE
This appears to be a copy of the SERVIR. The clasp reads on three lines:
“MEDAILLE COMMEMORATIVE – MUNICIPALITE FRANCAIS –
CHANGHAI AOUT-NOV 1937”
